Jamie Orlando Smith is a freelance food photographer working in London. After graduating from the University of Brighton with a degree in photography in 2009, Jamie spent the next three years working as a chef in professional kitchens, both confirming his love of food and respect for raw ingredients and honing his presentation and plating skills. Now, fully freelance, these skills have secured Jamie a variety of projects from advertising to publishing. Recent commissions include advertising campaigns for Thorntons Chocolate and Knorr, and Gordon Ramsay’s latest cookbook, Bread Street Kitchen (2016), among many others. In 2017 Jamie was shortlisted in the Pink Lady Food Photography Awards in both the Food off the Press and Food in Action categories.
